Choices, choices...................

They say Tiger Woods got started early, so Noa has been trying her hand at a few different sporting career possiblilties.

So will it be the LPGA, Nascar, or will she be the next Mia Hamm????????

Tee Hee. Don't tell Nana........................

My parents have a George Foreman grill and I used it to grill hamburgers tonight. Yes, it's great and easy, but the damn thing is an absolute bear to clean. It came with some weird plastic scrapey thing that is completely useless, aside from the fact that you lose it after the first week.
So being the inventive thinker that I am, I came up with a solution.........................

Good boy.

Bathing Beauty

With the temps climbing into the eighties today, Noa decided to cool off by taking a dip in her new pool. Margaritas anyone????????????????

What a Wonderful World

This morning, I was up before Noa, so I had some time to get ready for her before she started stirring in her crib. She normally wakes up at 7:15 on the dot, but today, it was 7:30 and I still hadn't heard a peep from her so I peeked into her room. From the door, I could see her holding a pacifier in each hand, gently clanking them together, softly cooing at her hands. Very sweet. She then reached one of her hands behind her and through the slats of the crib. I knew that she was going to toss the paci to the ground, so I silently stepped forward and caught it as she let it go. In the same motion, I then tossed it back into the center of the crib, all out of her line of sight.

As Noa heard the paci hit the crib mattress, she cooed with joy and surprise and reached over to grab it. The coolest part is that she didn't even think to look behind her, there was no deductive reasoning as to how the paci got there. I love that she is little enough to still live in a world where pacis fall from the sky for her use and amusement.

I stood there for a few more minutes just watching her entertain herself before I peeked my head over the rail of the crib and said "good morning" and was greeted with the world's biggest, silliest smile.

Growing, changing

This girl is ON THE MOVE! Here are a couple of videos showing off her budding skills. The other is just a snippet from our breakfast this morning. I suggest you pull up a chair in front of your computer and grab yourself a bowl of cereal and pretend that you are having breakfast with Noa.

More shots o' Noa

Noa and Nana were enjoying a game of "Grab and Scratch Nana's nose".

I love the little look she gets on her face when her laughter is winding down.......

She always enjoys some good snuggle time with Rudy......

"Here, let me put my toe in your eye...."

Noa at Mother's Day brunch............

Looking out the window at the golf course with Uncle Bobby......

Wearing her super-hero cap in the backyard...............

Hi Everybody!

I love this picture of Noa staring out the front window of our new house...... She gets a lot of enjoyment watching the people walk by.

Watching the little girls go to their dance class...............

Enjoying a smile on the couch................

Nana and Grandpa took Noa for a walk while I was at a meeting. Here she is kickin' it with her measuring spoons.................

Noa adorns the front porch with some flower baskets..............

Noa was extremely thoughtful and she sent me some flowers for Mother's Day. Here I am giving her a thank you hug while she tells me how long it took her to choose just the right bouquet....

Looking out the window again................

Here she is enjoying her new high chair. We went with the keekaroo instead of the stokke and we are incredible happy with it. As you can see, she likes it too.................

Spring blooms

So it is Spring and Noa's verbal skills are bloomin'.

She has said mama, dada, and nana with some regularity and accuracy (meaning she was looking at/speaking to the appropriate person when whipping out the terms). It sounded like she said 'doggy" the other morning while looking at Rudy.

She can yell "hey!" at the dogs when they are barking, and she can imitate my father's whistle. Too cute.

She is a genius. This morning she said "caper", although that may have been an accident.

Noa's busy Friday

We took the bean to Ann Arbor today to tackle some tasks and settle in to the house. Before we left, Noa had some fun balancing a yellow ring on her head. It looks like a little plastic halo............. (or a humongous cheerio, which Noa is in love with right now...)

As you can imagine, she was exhausted after all that on-the-head- balancing, so she took a well-deserved nap on the drive over. Note that she sleeps with her mouth open--just like her Daddy.

We stopped to have some lunch, and Noa enjoyed her bowl of tomato-basil soup..........

...Later, while Grandpa and I gardened and pulled out weeds and a yucca plant, Noa had fun playing in the grass in her front yard.

She is thisclose to crawling......................

Here she is looking thoughtful..............

... and here she is thinking about shoving a handful of grass into her mouth (which she did seconds later).

Daily dose o' cuteness

This was toooo funny. Noa discovered that she could spit some of her sweet potatoes in grandpa's direction and she was cracking herself up. This video was taken near the end of her laughing spell, so she was already winding down a bit and it doesn't even begin to capture how hysterical she became.

Here she is enjoying playing with the windchimes at the nursery. Or should I say Grandpa was enjoying helping Noa play with the chimes.

Hi Daddy!

Noa misses you so much, and she is especially bummed that you don't get to help her practice standing!
